A skibike is exactly what it sounds like: a bike with skis instead of wheels. Skibike designs have evolved over the years, and our fleet features top of the line Lenz Sport, Type 2, full-suspension skibikes.
With handlebars, foot pegs, and front and rear suspension, these bikes offer a familiar riding position and a whole new way to experience the mountain. The suspension helps absorb bumps and smooth out the ride, letting you experience riding on snow like never before.

Yes! Experience skiing or snowboarding is beneficial, but it is not required. Our accompanied ride along for first time riders ensures that you are able to safely operate the equipment according to resort policy. Safety is our number one priority.

Riding a Skibike is somewhat of a cross between skiing, mountain biking, and dirt bike riding. Just like skiing or snowboarding, we use our edges to control speed and direction. Riding a Skibike involves a combination of weight distribution, steering, leaning, and tipping the bike in conjunction with your body.
For an in depth tutorial on learning to ride, we highly recommend reading through the “How to Ride a Ski Bike” guide on the Lenz Sport website. Click the link below to learn more.

There are a few ways to ride a chairlift with a Skibike. Our preferred method is riding with the bike between your legs.
Walk the bike from the lift line to the loading ramp.
Keep the seat between your legs and the handlebars in front of you.
As the chair picks you up, lift the bike by the frame with one hand, sit down, and lower the safety bar with your free hand.
Place the seat of the bike over the safety bar.
The safety bar will support the weight of the bike during the ride.
The conventional method is to hold the bike at your side and rest it on the chair. This method works well but may not allow the use of the safety bar.
Remember, when riding a chairlift:
KEEP A HAND ON THE BIKE AT ALL TIMES!
As you approach the top and prepare to unload:
Lift the bike by the frame, allowing you to raise the safety bar.
Support the weight of the bike until you are ready to unload.
Step off the chair and walk the bike down the unloading ramp, or jump on and ride away.

A Skibike weighs approximately 30 lbs. Riders must be able to lift and support the weight of the bike with one arm when loading and unloading a chairlift.
